Bonocle is an accessibility edtech company focusing on making braille education easier for blind and low vision students and their teachers. Only 1 in every 10 blind students graduates with strong reading and writing skills. This results in 70% of blind adults being unemployed, with the primary reason being braille illiteracy. This is a $3.4 billion yearly tax bill on Canada due to the loss of productivity and unemployment for the blind and low vision community. Our solution makes learning Braille not a once-a-week thing but a daily practice that is fun and engaging while giving teachers tools and insights to deliver higher-quality education.
