Our “Why”

Atlantic Canada has quietly been developing a world-class technology and innovation ecosystem. In 2019 the world started to take notice, as indicated by two leading industry metrics: New York University ranked Halifax as 36th in the top 50 global cities for venture capital deals per capita, and the Startup Genome Project, Silicon Valley’s leading innovation think-tank, ranked Atlantic Canada as the fourth fastest growing innovation ecosystem in the world. We felt this happening and formed Barrington Edge in 2016, growing out of our sister company, the Barrington Consulting Group.

Because of our multidisciplinary team of strategy advisors, functional experts, designers, and technologists, we see the world differently. We are professional entrepreneurs who partner with exceptional companies and brilliant founders to build world-class solutions to global problems and help accelerate this innovation to a global stage.

We’ve been fortunate through our focus on the acceleration of innovative solutions and ideas to work with some incredible companies. We’re sector agnostic, focusing on pure innovation, no matter the industry, vertical or sector: From cloud computing to emergency services, cyber security, and consumer packaged goods to medical technologies.

Ideation

Ideation is curating the solution to a known problem, one that is tangible, measurable, and ultimately profitable. With a definition, refinement and thorough evaluation process, ideas have a stronger probability of converting to scalable solutions.

We blueprint solutions, explore approaches, and build proof of concepts. Validation

We work with you to develop strategies that incorporate market research and analysis, customer discovery and profiling, and partner and distributor analysis. Maximize your resources as you launch your product or service through a clearly defined strategic roadmap.
